It's a Tooth!

It's hard to see, but there is a tooth in there, bottom right hand side! Almost 17 months and he finally got his first tooth.

Well my little son is now one year old. The year has gone by so fast, it is hard to believe it. This post will be short, but I figured I needed to post something.

Still no teeth - I guess I'm the lucky mom since I haven't had to worry about getting bit.

It's my Birthday

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to Jocelyn, Happy Birthday to me!

I'm 30 today . . . Why fight it? We are all getting older, and what is wrong with that? More years of experience, more wisdom, a couple more grey hairs (to color), better car insurance rates (i've been told) . . . 30 is the new 20 ya know.

Already, I've enjoyed a week of birthday fun! Family bday party where I was given a suitcase and a flat iron (hair straightener) - I love the practicality of both gifts. Then a birthday lunch with my friend Christine yesterday with yummy chocolate cupcakes and a cool bendy camera tripod. Last night I was surprised by Isaac with a beautiful new necklace. Today, I'm going shopping with my sister. Many well wishes, and cards as well. Thank you everyone!

Friends have continued to ask me what I'm doing for my '30th'. Do I want a big party? Or to go on a trip? Or do something crazy like jump out of an airplane? Nope, I don't need anything big. Just quality time for those friends and family. That is what makes a birthday special to me.

No teeth, no nap, the vacuum and his tongue

I don't have an update on teeth, cause Jacob still hasn't popped any out. Oh well, this mom is learning patience and learning that if I give him little chunks of food and his tummy can't digest it, that it's just gonna go on through. Back to pureeing baby food . . . I do have a tendency to rush things.

Jacob didn't nap all day yesterday . . . not sure why.

Jacob cried this morning when I turned the vacuum on. He has never ever been phased by the vacuum, he actually enjoys the noise near his head and when I use the hose with the nozzle and put it on his belly. Please Lord, don't let him be scared of the vacuum.

Okay, one more update on Jacob. He has been sticking his tongue out this morning. It's like he has discovered that it can reach down to his little chin and then back into his mouth. Amazing I say.

Life is better

So, life is better - well it's not so much life is better, but my attitude is better. Praise God!!!

Here's a quick update

• Got a new to us car - 97 Nissan Sentra for Isaac to use on his commute to work.
• Went to the "Children's Museum" for free. Thanks to my friend Christine getting us free passes from the library. Jacob played with the clay, tried to eat the clay, and got the clay taken away from him.
• Jacob is rolling all around these days. He had a fever for a couple of days - hoping for teeth. Hoping that my next post will say "teeth or tooth".
• We enjoyed our friends the Onsomu's coming for a sleepover. 3 boys all 3 and under. We had a good time. Us adults even stayed up late and talked about adult things and ate popcorn.
